GRACE…

The hot topic, grace… let’s get into it. What is grace? Grace can be defined as a gift given from God to us that provides strength and endurance to resist temptation; grace is given and received. The hard question is why do we have a hard time receiving grace?? Many of us don’t think we need grace, which is crazy to even think. Grace is a necessity in our daily lives. We are not perfect AT ALL and because God knew we’d fall short, He, in all His greatness extends grace to us. BUT ….wait a minute, let’s be clear, grace is not used as a hall pass, get out of jail free card, or blatantly disobeying. It’s for when we come short of what God’s destined us to be.

I wanted to make that clear because many believers(myself included) and non-believers have or had this notion that grace only applies to “sinners”. News flash, WE ALL NEED IT!! There’s no special reserve for “saints” and “sinner”, there’s ONE God who gives freely, FREELY, His grace to cover. Let me give some bible for that statement. Romans 3:22-24 “The righteousness of God comes through faith in Jesus Christ for all those who believe. There is no distinction, since all have sinned and continually fall short of the glory of God, and are being justified (declared free of the guilt of sin, made acceptable to God, and granted eternal life) as a gift by His grace, through the redemption which is provided in Christ Jesus”. SOOOOO, who’s grace for? ALL WHO BELIEVE, phew I could teach on that, but for now we’ll carry on lol.

Grace flows into our lives as we submit ourselves to one another in relationships- Banning Liebscher. What does your relationship game look like? Do you live in isolation? too chatty? Skeptical of everyone?… One thing that’s for certain, you need a community(safe space) to be human and receive the grace and wisdom that only comes from people who love you. Life is not meant to be lived alone, be proactive in your pursuit for community. Fear of the unknown is what will keep us isolated and away from receiving the grace we need to pursue purpose. We are NOT our past , WE ARE WHO GOD SAYS WE ARE! There’s grace in right relationships!
